Bodega Bay, Ca sand dunes and beach.

These are photos of the boys playing on giant sand dunes near bodega bay, ca. We went with our neighbors Alyson, Ian, and Serena Butterfield. We also played on the beach and in the ocean which was amazing warm for the time of year.

Bryce's first run.  He was so excited that he went back when the rest of us were done and at the beach.

View from the top

Calen on the climb up.  he loved it.

there was this really cool dune that you could just off of and get serious air with a soft landing.  Here is Calen taking the jump.

Collage of remote control cars

You know that a little boy is thinking about remote control cars when he draws a picture of a dozen or so with the remote control. Bryce spent some time on this. He and calen recent got new remote control cars and that has been the focus.

Thanksgiving wild turkey

Jeff cooked a Turkey that he and a friend hunted in a weber kettle grill with charcoal over a three hours. Calen said that it was the best turkey he had ever eaten. This is a photo of Bryce with a bone of meat in his hand. He is pretty picky and he liked it as well. One large wild turkey has enough meat for a few meals.

Geocache find!

After an hour of looking for caches we finally found one in the peace garden of ragel park. This one had a big container and the boys left more toys than they took.

Bryce is starting to learn how to write

Bryce watches and learns from his older brother so much. He is starting to learn to write after watching calen go through the process and practice.

Our feral cats

We have three feral cats. One is a great hunter and one is learning to be held and fed by the boys. They now have names. Magic, skiddy, and white flash. By the end of the winter magic will be domestic I'm thinking.

Bryce on the quad.

It is so fun to see bryce start doing things that only calen could do a year ago. Here he is on the electric quad 4 Wheeler. They tie a Wagon on it to move things around the yard. Bryce was so happy driving it and cute with his little bear hat under the helmet

Another day at the river.

We went to the river today.  Last minute decision to go.  Probably the last time this year.  We got so lucky that the sun was out and it was warm all day (like a summer day!)  We had the whole river to ourselves.  These photos are not from that day, these were off of Calen's camera and since we did not take many today I figured I would put these here.  There are some really cool rocks to jump off of into chilly and deep water. Most of the river is less than a foot deep, but these special areas are a place we go to often.

Halloween

For Halloween Calen was a knight and Bryce was an astronaut for the second year in row.  This is a photo from school.  Unfortunately the actual night of haloween was rained out this year. :-(
Still our neighbors had Candy so they doubled up at that house and still got to enjoy some sweets.
Oh, I almost forgot the most important part.  Alyson, our other neighbor, had the boys over for a couple of hours in the early afternoon.  They made some small bags of popcorn and did reverse trick or treating!  For a few or our lucky neighbors, the giving fairy came and left a nice treat on their door!  I love it when we make a new tradition that is so much more fun.

Sprites Night - Calen's Second Grade Play "The Lion and the Mouse"

Calen had a great time performing in the Second Grade Play for Sprites Night.  He started as one of the Story Tellers and was great speaking loud and clearly.  When a friend did not show up for the second shift, he helped out and became one of the hunters on the fly!
